How much can go wrong for a President in one weekend?
This Weekend Was A Lot Even For Trump

Donald Trump's presidency wracks up weird news stories like a second-grader winning tickets at Chuck E. Cheese (RIP), but this weekend, with three impossibly bizarre headlines, it feels like he's trying to hit a high score. We'll start with the most shocking -- Trump's latest Russia scandal (set aside for a moment how he's had so many scandals involving Russia that we need to start indexing them) in which it has come to light that the Russians offered bounties to the Taliban to kills American soldiers.

Trump's defense is that he wasn't briefed on this, despite The New York Times reporting that he was briefed in March, and if true, it's especially damning considering he just invited Putin to the G7 summit at the beginning of this June.

Next, we've also got Trump tweeting approval for a group of his supporters chanting "white power." Again, Trump's defenders plead imbecile with White House press secretary Judd Deere saying, "President Trump is a big fan of the Villages. He did not hear the one statement made on the video. What he did see was tremendous enthusiasm from his many supporters." Ah, he didn't hear it. It's probably just a case of the liberal media blowing things out of proportion. Here's the video below. See if you can hear what must have been an extremely subtle mention of "white power."

Did you catch it? It's the part about 8 seconds into the video in which the camera zooms in on a man's face as he's screaming "white power" and pumping his fist. If you missed that, another guy right in front of the video camera also says, "There you go. White power." But it's hard to dwell on this news story alone because now it is being reported that Iran is issuing an arrest warrant for Donald Trump over the killing of Qasem Soleimani in a drone strike.

Now we don't expect the Iranian police to show up on the front doorsteps of the White House with a pair of handcuffs and a Bloodsport Blu-ray and try to coax Donny to come out, but it's certainly not good news when it comes to the diplomatic standing within our two countries. In fact, all of it might amount to nothing, yet any one of these headlines in any other presidency would be its own chapter in a history book. That they all came on the same weekend just speaks to how hilariously inept he is. Or maybe the laughter is coming from just being deliriously exhausted.
